Artistic talent. I respected him on the football field for his toughness and attitude. Took lots of classes with him. Well, FB comes along and we reconnect. He’s the same guy, but now has a serious chip in his shoulder about race. He’s accusing me of being racist just because I am white, even though I am half Chinese. He is Chinese. He’s going on and on about white privilege and how I could never understand and how people are so mean to him. Not even considering that my beliefs could be different than other who he encountered who may have made him so angry. It pained me, but I unfriended him. I really liked the dude. Still do, and would want to be friends, but couldn’t put up with what he was putting out. To this day, that’s my only real social media beef. That was over a decade ago, and I really haven’t had any deer since because I stopped taking part in any political discussions or other hot buttons.
